Good Dental Health

Your pets’ dental health is very important.

Many people don’t realize how easy it is for pets’ teeth to be covered in tartar and become unhealthy. Luckily, there are many options for pet owners to help their pets.  Some of the easiest good dental health tips are:

• Buy your pet treats that are specifically designed for good pet health
• Buy your pet toys that promote good dental hygiene. (Chewfah Loofah bones and balls)
• Give your pet hard chews or toys that will scrape the tartar off (Rawhide works well for this, but should only be given to your pet after first checking with your Veterinarian)
•  Brush your pets’ teeth. 
• Purchase teeth sealant protector through your vet.  Some breeds known for bad teeth (Chihuahua) may be given this as a preventative measure even before this is a problem.
• Have regular teeth cleanings scheduled with your Veterinarian
• Monitor your dogs teeth and gums and have regular checkups with your Veterinarian.
